I am grateful for the 'refiner's fire'--those things that have been difficult to live through that have brought us closer to God and to each other in our vocation. This date, February 2nd is special to us as it is our wedding anniversary date. When we selected the date, it was just the first Saturday after finals were over and our semester break began so we could get married and have a week away from school. (And, of course,--lots of jokes about Ground Hog Day.) Over the years, we have come to realize more and more how blessed we were to have been married on this date.
