Conversations That Matter
What are we doing to put our Spirituality into practice? Spirituality is about the way we live, after all. This is a place for Communal Lectio, Centering on the Word. Ministry of the Word is central to Precious Blood Spirituality.

we don't often hear this Sunday called Gaudete, from the command in the Introit to rejoice, but the readings certainly carry that message!

The Lord, your God, is in your midst....

the people were filled with expectation

I had the pleasure of leading a lectio divina on the gospel for this coming Sunday with the little group of adults in our deanery preparing for confirmation early next month. They caught the spirit of the readings and noted the people's openness to respond by making changes--"What should we do?" What John suggests is within our reach, it is ordinary, it is right relationship.

So, here I am, and I have 2 cloaks!

I feel pain for the pain, suffering and even despair felt by people all over the world in our time. But I also feel a great hope for what (who)is to come.
In the coming Advent days, I will look for Jesus, not only in the quiet of my room in my inner being, but also in the person of those whom I encounter in my daily life.

what I've always remembered from the first Sunday of Advent cycle C is the last line of the Jeremiah reading:

"The Lord (is) our justice."

who's ever going to call us that!
